Halloween Garden Flag:
Materials
- Felt (Halloween colors- I used Black, Orange, Purple, Green & White.
- Coordinating Embroidery Floss
- Burlap
- Needle
- Scissors
I could have used my sewing machine on this project, but I really wanted to use the embroidery floss so that it gives it a"patch look" so in turn I had to hand stitch everything.
I first started out by creating my Halloween patterns made from felt. I used images off of Pinterest as my guide for creating the patterns and coming up with ideas. I am happy at how well they turned out!
Next step was to create the burlap flag, I usually stitch around the whole flag (giving it a hem) because the burlap will fray over time.
Next, was sewing on my patterns with the embroidery floss.
And here it is enjoying the lovely Fall weather!
Total Cost of project: Less than $8.00 (I had most of the materials and the felt I purchased is going to carry me through many more projects.)
