Family
Let me start off by thanking everyone for their continued support over the last ten years. Thank you for the keeping her memories alive on her memorial, it means a lot to our family. Everyone lost a little something in their hearts the day that Susie passed. I decided to write a 10 year reflection in honor of my sister. A lot of people think that I have never dealt with my sister's passing. While I have nothing to prove to anyone, I have. Everyone deals with death in their own ways. There is no right or wrong way to cope. The stages of grief are universal and be experienced by people from all walks of life. Everyone spends the time they need going through each stage.
Oh, what fun it! Winter is almost officially here. I know it’s been a while since my last post. Between, Halloween, stomach bug, Thanksgiving and a 3 week inner ear infection I am pretty much back up and running!
I love to reminisce and look at pictures from the past of our family. Here is kind of a before and after. This was our family in the late 90's.
Hello Fall!
Its about time, we hope you bring some cooler weather because this summer was just way too hot!
I created a Fall bucket list for our family, we always seem to check off everything on this list, but now with a baby and mommy brain, I thought by "actually creating the list" it would keep us on track.
Today is my grandfather's birthday, today is also the anniversary of his passing. Happy birthday Pop-pop.
Grandpa and his older brother
Woohoo! My 3rd post in 3 days! I am on a roll! I have so many more "pending posts" but the hubby and I are finishing up what we thought was going to be a month project, now turned into a summer project. I have also broke out the easel and started painting again. Its been a hectic but fun summer. Stay tuned...
I meant to write this post sooner, but again life got ahead of me. June 13th 2016 marked the 10 year anniversary since my grandmother's passing. I seriously do not know where 10 years went?? It feels like yesterday we were just celebrating her full life with friends and family. So today, I am dedicating my post to my grandmother. She passed away at the age of 82, and while I would love to have her here today, I know she had a happy full life. Hope you enjoy the photo's that I gathered over her 82 years!
So I would never really consider myself a "spiritual person." Sure I have my own religious beliefs, but I am also one to not talk religion. I can probably say that I somewhat believed in "signs" from up above, but never actually had one appear right in front of my face, until now.
My husband and I always say that my sister Susie is our daughter's guardian angel. At times my daughter reminds me of my sister with her blue eyes and auburn hair. I know if my sister was here on earth she would be the best damn Aunt there was. So thankfully, my daughter will always have Susie for her guardian angel, still the best damn angel there is.
So here is my story...
So its official, we are going to be parents!!!
We are due October 17th, 2015!
We made the announcement on Easter weekend to all our family and close friends. Everyone was really excited for us. It was super hard to keep it a secret until 12 weeks but we did it! We told a few of our close friends very early on and we told our parents after our 8 week appointment.
