Oh boy, I cannot believe I am starting this post (originally started in August). Where did my baby's first year go? People tell me all the time, they grow up so fast. I am still in shock to say that I have a one year old!!! We spend so much time with her and we love watching her grow, I cannot say anything more than, I just love being Mabel's Mommy!
Hello Fall!
Its about time, we hope you bring some cooler weather because this summer was just way too hot!
I created a Fall bucket list for our family, we always seem to check off everything on this list, but now with a baby and mommy brain, I thought by "actually creating the list" it would keep us on track.
So this is it, what was suppose to take us about a month, turned into a summer project. This project has been on our to do list for quite sometime. I tried to take as many pictures during the process. This was our first "big" project since baby, my husband did 80% of this project by himself, while I did the 20% which was painting. But in between many baby naps, we finally completed the project and we are so happy with the way it turned out.
Today is my grandfather's birthday, today is also the anniversary of his passing. Happy birthday Pop-pop.
Grandpa and his older brother
Woohoo! My 3rd post in 3 days! I am on a roll! I have so many more "pending posts" but the hubby and I are finishing up what we thought was going to be a month project, now turned into a summer project. I have also broke out the easel and started painting again. Its been a hectic but fun summer. Stay tuned...
I meant to write this post sooner, but again life got ahead of me. June 13th 2016 marked the 10 year anniversary since my grandmother's passing. I seriously do not know where 10 years went?? It feels like yesterday we were just celebrating her full life with friends and family. So today, I am dedicating my post to my grandmother. She passed away at the age of 82, and while I would love to have her here today, I know she had a happy full life. Hope you enjoy the photo's that I gathered over her 82 years!
A few months ago I wanted to purchase a CD player for daughter's room. I wanted to be able to play CD's while we play in her room and have her listen to classical music while going to sleep. My husband suggested we just buy a speaker and use one of our old phones and play Pandora. Yes, this would be the "cost effective" way to go. But one, we listen to the free version of Pandora, so I did not want loud commercials to wake my child up and second, I wanted to be able to play certain music at certain times. We are slowly starting a collection of up of all the Disney movie soundtracks. I thought a CD player would be the best way to go.
