Halloween Accent Pillow

Halloween Accent Pillow

Halloween is just around the corner, I was trying to think of inexpensive but cute project to start. Since we have a new bench in our foyer I thought it would be really nice to spruce up that area with an accent pillow for each of the holidays.

College Themed Door Wreath

College Door Wreath

Over the years I have accumulated TONS of Mardi Gras beads, its to the point now where I am just about ready to chuck them. I found this on Pinterest and I fell in love with it! Whats funny is the door in the picture is the same color of our front door so I already knew how the final project would look. This was my inspiration, I only used the beads as the base of my project.

How to Lay Brick Pavers(1)This was definitely one of our "bigger" projects. We were looking for a way to extend our patio, we came across our neighborhood builder demolishing a parking lot made from pavers. There was a sign that said "Free Pavers" you just had to get them yourselves. So there we were with many other homeowners/workers loading free pavers into our cars. This saved us a lot of money!

Advent calendar

We are super excited this year, we get to celebrate Christmas with both of our families in our new home, that's 15 family members all under one roof (you know like a "Home Alone" setup.) So much to do, so little time, here I am already thinking about all the little details and its only October! I have a million different ideas for recipes and decorating all going through my head. My sister-in-law and I are going to be planning this together!

Purchased this wood sign at Joann's a few years ago, it has been sitting half painted for about 4 years. I have finally completed it!

IMAG3885 (2)Added some red/green acrylic paint, then topped it off with some sparkly paint to give the piece a more "Christmas feel"
